Tottenham Hotspur transfer round-up: Plan hatched to keep Lloris and Kane

A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.

French publication L’Equipe has reported that Manchester United are preparing an offer for Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

The Frenchman is thought to be a target for the Old Trafford side should they lose David De Gea this summer.

The French sources claims that United’s opening bid for the player would be somewhere in the region of £18 million.

The London Evening Standard has reported that Tottenham have a plan to keep Lloris away from United, along with important striker Harry Kane.

The paper claims that Spurs will consider giving official captaincy roles to both players.

The apparent hope is that the extra level of responsibility would make it more difficult for either individual to walk away from the club.

The Daily Mail has reported that newly promoted Watford are keen on a potential deal for Tottenham midfielder Paulinho.

The Brazilian has struggled to find his best form at White Hart Lane under Mauricio Pochettino and could be moved on this summer.

The paper claims that he’s one of several players that Tottenham are willing to offload over the course of the summer.
