The 17-year-old right back has departed Selhurst Park to join Borussia Monchengladbach.
Crystal Palace this week lost promising 17-year-old Mandela Egbo to Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach, after he rejected a pro deal in South London and signed a four-year deal in Germany.
And Egbo, who can also play on the right wing, posted a message on Twitter thanking the Eagles for his seven years at the club, while also saying how much he was looking forward to the next chapter in his career.
The England Under-18 defender moves to Germany having failed to feature for the Eagles, and he becomes the latest disappointing youth departure from Palace.
There have been several talented young English players that have left Selhurst Park at the very beginning of their careers, some of which have had careers that stalled like John Bostock and Wayne Routledge, and other players for whom the move could be seen as a success, like Nathaniel Clyne.
Palace will likely be wishing Egbo luck with his future career, but anxious that he doesn't become too big a star to the degree that the club don't come to really regret his departure.
