Here is the latest transfer news surrounding Liverpool...

Liverpool today confirmed their fifth summer signing, luring Hoffenheim star Roberto Firmino to Merseyside, as announced on the club's official website.

The Brazilian international playmaker, 23, has penned a 'long-term contract' with the Reds, joining Adam Bogdan, Joe Gomez, James Milner and Danny Ings in joining Brendan Rodgers' side.

Firmino will join Liverpool after Copa America finishes, with Firmino playing a key role for Brazil in the knockout stages with Neymar out suspended.

However, the Liverpool Echo believe that Firmino's arrival won't stop manager Brendan Rodgers from looking to add to his attacking options even more.

Their report states that Liverpool will still pursue a more classical striker, with Sevilla's Carlos Bacca and Zenit St. Petersburg hitman Jose Salomon Rondon on Rodgers' wish list.

It's also noted that the Reds will look to raise funds by selling strikers Fabio Borini, Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert, who allegedly have no future at Anfield.

Liverpool still need to find a starting right back, and the Daily Echo report that Southampton won't budge over their asking price for England international Nathaniel Clyne.

The 24-year-old has just one year left on his contract at Southampton, but Ronald Koeman's are holding out for a fee in the region of £15m - which could deter Liverpool.
