It was confirmed by the official Liverpool website that the Reds have agreed a deal to sign Firmino from Hoffenheim this summer.
Currently playing at the Copa America with Brazil, the 23-year-old forward will undergo a medical at the end of the tournament, with the deal expected to be finalised following that.
The nine-capped international, who has four goals for his country, will be looking to emulate the success of his compatriot Philippe Coutinho at Anfield, and fans are hoping to see him shine.
Firmino played 151 games for Hoffenheim, scoring 47 goals after signing for the Bundesliga outfit in December 2010. Regarded as a potential star of the future, Liverpool have done well to secure Firmino’s signature, and big things are expected of him.
He is the fourth player to arrive at Anfield this summer, following James Milner, Danny Ings and Adam Bogdan, and although those signings were greeted in mixed fashion, the overall reaction to Firmino’s signing is very positive.

Bit hesitant on Firmino. Good player but fear we have got caught up in the hype. Still, he looks a talent, hope he adapts. Welcome to LFC!— Liverpool Tickets (@Anfield_Tickets) June 24, 2015
On paper looks an excellent signing by #lfc of Firmino, now if we got rid of Sterling for £50m, definately be a good signing— YNWA (@liverpool4ever2) June 24, 2015
