Le 10 Sport claim that the Ligue 1 side are keen to take the French forward on loan in 2015-16.
The 22-year-old arrived in North London back in 2013 after starring for Auxerre but struggled to command a place in the Gunners’ starting XI.
With Sanogo failing to score for Arsene Wenger’s side in 11 Premier League outings, he was offloaded to Crystal Palace on loan for the second half of last season.
The former France under-21 attacker, who has an impressive strike rate at international age-grade level, is unlikely to be an important member of the Arsenal squad next season and as such could well spend 2015-16 out on loan once more.
Le 10 Sport claim that Wenger is weighing up the approach from the French side but is yet to make a decision, with the potential for increased time on the pitch for Sanogo should he return to his homeland.
Arsenal have the likes of Olivier Giroud, Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott ahead of the 22-year-old in their pecking order and as such a year’s football in Ligue 1 appears to make sense for Sanogo.
