Everton look set to complete a deal for Henen next week.
Henen, 19, joined on loan from Olympiacos last summer as something of an extended trial period, establishing himself in the Toffees’ Under-21 side, but failing to make an appearance in the senior ranks.
The report claims that Everton have now come to an agreement with both Henen and his parent club for the transfer of the youngster, and the deal should be officially confirmed by next week.
Considering how close the deal is to being formally completed, Henen is an Everton player in all-but name, and he has travelled with the Under-21 squad to Austria for a pre-season training camp.
It is stated that not being in England because of the warm-weather training is the only reason the deal cannot be finalised.
He will return to Goodison Park next week to finally sign a deal with the club, and complete what is believed to be a £200,000 transfer.
Although not featuring for the senior team, Roberto Martinez is said to have watched Henen last term and been impressed by the youngster enough to push ahead with a permanent transfer.
