Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Vlad Dragomir signing

Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign another talented teenager but what did Gunners fans make of the news?

When Arsenal’s first summer signing came it was not the headline name Gunners fans had been expecting, but it was an interesting name that had some supporters taking to social media to have their say.

As reported by the Guardian on Wednesday, Arsenal have completed a £71,000 deal to bring 16-year-old Vlad Dragomir to North London from ACS Poli Timisoara.

The central midfielder (who can also play on the left wing if required) is currently the captain of Romania’s under-16 side and he makes his move after just two senior appearances for Timisoara.

The Guardian report claims Dragomir will start life at Arsenal as a first-year scholar, so those Gunners fans hoping they have signed the next big thing will have to be patient.

Like Krystian Bielik before him, Dragomir arrives at the club with a big reputation but a lot of work to do, although the Polish midfielder has already made waves at both under-19 and under-21 level.

As for Dragomir, he will soon have the chance to impress Arsenal’s coaches with the long-term aim of breaking into the first-team.

After the news broke we took to Twitter to see what Arsenal fans thought of their latest arrival and you can read a selection of what we found below:
