HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club that Bolton Wanderers winger Sanmi Odelusi is set to join Wigan Athletic.
Wigan boss Gary Caldwell is keen to rebuild his squad this summer after seeing a number of stars leave in the wake of their relegation from the Championship.
Highly-rated wide man Odelusi has been lined up by Caldwell to replace James McClean, following the Republic of Ireland international's departure to West Bromwich Albion.
Former Queens Park Rangers and Reading youngster Odelusi joined Bolton in 2009, but struggled to break into the first-team.
Odelusi has made just nine first-team appearances for Bolton, scoring twice on his full debut in a League Cup win over Shrewsbury Town.
The 22-year-old has had spells out on loan at MK Dons and Coventry City during the last two seasons in a bid to get some first-team experience.
He impressed on loan at Coventry last term, scoring three goals in 14 appearances and his performances have caught the attention of Wigan as they look to build a side capable of winning promotion from League One at the first time of asking.
