Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood could look to boost his team this summer by dipping into the loan market and signing some of the Premier League big boy’s top youngsters.
The West Midlands side will be eager to cover up for the early losses to their squad in Andreas Weimann and Matthew Lowton and could utilise the loan market perfectly to fill those voids.
Manchester United’s James Wilson and Tottenham Hotspur’s DeAndre Yedlin could both be ideal for Sherwood heading into next season.
The United youngster is rated by many as one of the top up-and-coming strikers in the country and with a long list of high profile strikers in front of him at Old Trafford, it could be time for him to get some experience elsewhere.
After scoring twice on his Premier League debut, the bar was set high for Wilson and this season has seen him fall just below his set standard. However, it was not without signs of promise.
The 19-year-old, who will be 20 in December, has a great amount of pace and is an ideal candidate to fill the void left by Weimann following his move to Derby.
According to Sky Sports, Tottenham are keen for Yedlin to go out on loan and a move to Villa could be ideal following the loss of Lowton.
Incidentally, the 21-year-old made his Premier League debut against Villa last season as a substitution coming on with 11 minutes of the match left to play.
The United States international performed admirably at the World Cup in Brazil and now just needs to show he has the ability to play in the Premier League week in, week out.
Yedlin is a player with outstanding technical ability, which when coupled with his pace makes him one of the most sought after young defenders in the world. Nevertheless, he lacks experience and the defensive know-how which a loan move could help him discover.
