Report: Sunderland revive transfer interest in Moussa Sow, four-year contract offered

Sunderland have been linked with Moussa Sow in the past, and it looks as if they will revive their interest this summer.

Sow, currently playing for Fenerbahce, was linked with a move to the Stadium of Light last summer, and the Sunderland Echo claims that the Black Cats will move for him this transfer window as well.

A 29-year-old striker, Sow was linked with the club last summer, as per the Journal, but no deal could be completed for the Senegalese international. He remained with Fener, netting 14 goals in 33 Super Lig games during the 2014/15 campaign, once again proving his credentials as a consistent goalscoring forward.

Sow, who has also played for Sedan, Rennes and Lille in France, is now being linked with a move to Wearside again, and with Dick Advocaat keen on adding attacking reinforcements to his team, Sow looks like a strong signing.

He is out-of-contract at Fener next summer, and the report states that he has been offered a four-year contract to move to Sunderland, although his current team have also offered him an extension.

The decision is now entirely down to Sow, and if he agrees to move to Sunderland, it is expected that Fenerbahce will sell him for cheap to ensure that they receive a transfer fee for him, rather than lose him on a free next summer.
