Benfica are looking to sell two players in order to fund a move for Anderlecht youngster Aleksandar Mitrovic this summer, according to O Jogo.
It has been reported by the Portuguese news outlet that the European giants will make an offer to Anderlecht for the 20-year-old striker after finalising the sale of forwards Jonas and Lima to clubs in China.
The sale of the two Brazilians will see Benfica get €20 million (£14.2m) in transfer fee, according to the report, which will be enough to land them Mitrovic as well as Arsenal striker Joel Campbell.
Newcastle United should act quickly
The Sun recently claimed that Swansea City and Southampton are looking to snap up the Serbia international as well.
It is high time that Newcastle make a move now, if indeed they are determined to sign the youngster this summer.
Benfica are a big European club and will feature in the Champions League next season, which could be a massive pull for Mitrovic.
It seems that the Portuguese giants do not have the funds yet to sign the striker, and this should make Newcastle act quickly.
