There's certainly been no shortage of rumours surrounding Polish midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak, who has been linked with interest from several Premier League clubs and in particular of late, Southampton, Arsenal and Manchester United. Meanwhile in Spain, there have also been suggestions Real Madrid could make an offer.
The player himself has remained fairly quiet about his future, but in an interview with Estadio Deportivo, the 25-year-old has underlined why he's not planning on moving anywhere this summer.
He explained: "Sevilla is a fantastic club. Everyone here, from the manager we have to everyone in the dressing room, along with the fans, who are the best in Spain."
"It's a pleasure for me to be here, as the city is also magnificent: The people, the climate, the architecture... Everything is perfect." He added, demonstrating that he already feels very settled in southern Spain.
Considered one of the best players in the Spanish top-flight after his first season with Sevilla, Krychowiak was amongst the leading stars named in the '2014-15 Liga BBVA Ideal Eleven' for his efforts throughout the campaign.
Questioned specifically regarding the myriad reports of Premier League clubs preparing to swoop, asked if he would like to play in England, Krychowiak chose his response and his words very carefully.
"The rumours are for journalists, not for players. I'm here in Sevilla and I feel proud as a footballer that I can play for Sevilla."
"England? I don't know, you can't speak about the future in football - and please don't misinterpret that - because I don't what that to be understood as a lack of respect to the club or the fans, who I respect a great deal."
"Many players are kissing the badge on the shirt on a Monday, then signing for another club the following day. Others, however, announce that they will only stay at a club for a season, then end up being a legend for the team ten years later."
"As I've already said, I'm really happy here and 100% with Sevilla, focused on resting before the UEFA Super Cup against Barcelona."
So having declared that he's content to stay at the Sanchez-Pizjuan, asked what his wish is for the 2015-16 season, Krychowiak simply concluded: "To achieve the best possible results in the Champions League."
That ambition clearly seems to be whilst he's playing for Sevilla, rather than anyone else. Inevitably though, the rumours and speculation are likely to persist throughout the rest of the summer.
