HITC Sport understands from sources close to the player that Brentford are bracing themselves for interest in Jota this summer, with several English and La Liga sides chasing his signature.
Jota was a revelation for Brentford last term - his debut season in England - as he played a key role in helping the club to reach the Championship play-off semi-finals.
The Spanish schemer, who joined Brentford from Celta Vigo, scored 11 goals in 46 games for the Bees and his stellar displays have alerted several Premier League and Championship sides.
The likes of Bournemouth, Leicester City and Derby County have all been credited with holding an interest in Jota, while a number of teams in his native Spain are also weighing up moves to bring the player back to La Liga.
Brentford are determined to keep hold of Jota, but are expecting interest in the midfielder after the club missed out on promotion to the Premier League.
Jota still has two years to run on his current contract at Brentford, but the Spaniard could be tempted to move on to play in the Premier League or La Liga.
