Arsenal linked with signing Chelsea wonderkid Charly Musonda

Arsenal are said to be interested in Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda, along with Manchester City.

Arsenal are interested in signing Chelsea teenager Charly Musonda, according to French website Footmercato.

The Belgian teenager has been touted as the next Eden Hazard, but faces a tough test to make the Chelsea first team considering established internationals like Juan Cuadrado have struggled.

A number of options are emerging for Musonda, report Footmercato, with PSV, Monaco and Marseille all interested in a loan deal.

Arsenal, Manchester City and PSG are all claimed to be keen on a permanent deal for the 18-year-old attacking midfielder, who won the FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League last season.

Could it really happen?

This is where it gets tougher for Arsenal. Chelsea are already strongly linked with selling them Petr Cech as report The BBC, with real reluctance, but letting Musonda go is another matter.

The Gunners' interest is one thing - but Chelsea selling Musonda would be at odds with their Cech policy. He is being moved on because they wanted to promote youth in Courtois, and long-term they have to be looking at a way to integrate Musonda.

A loan deal elsewhere is most likely to give him the first team experience he requires and surely desires, but the Gunners circling along with City and PSG will show Chelsea they have to get it right, despite him having a long-term contract until 2019.
