The England Under-17 left-back commits to the club with a three-year deal.
At just 15 years old, Vashon Neufville is already racking up the personal achievements. Capped for England at Under-17 level, he has also featured for the Under-21 Hammers development squad.
He’s a defender tailor-made for the modern game with great pace and keen attacking instincts and Hammers fans will be intrigued to watch his development.
Speaking to the club’s site, Neufville spoke of his delight at the new deal.
“I love West Ham, I’m very happy to have signed a new three year deal. It’s nice to get my scholarship here but to get the professional deal too is a dream come true.
“This is the best moment of my career. I’ve had several good moments in a West Ham shirt but this is definitely the best.”
The flying full-back also touched on his Under-21 ambitions for next season.
“Making my U21 debut last season at 15 was a good achievement and hopefully I can push on from here.”
“My target for next season is to be in and around the U21s.”
The West Ham academy is famous for producing top talent, with the likes of Frank Lampard, Rio Ferdinand and Joe Cole all emerging in the not-too-distant past.
The conveyor belt seems to have stopped somewhat in recent years and Hammers fans will be hopeful Vashon Neufville could be one to reinvigorate the stuttering academy.
