The German international was injured for nearly three months last season with a knee ligament injury, but he returned with a bang, scoring four goals and providing seven assists and ultimately playing his part in Arsenal’s FA Cup success.
Ozil has now played 72 matches for Arsenal, scoring 12 goals and providing 23 assists to date, and Henry for one has been very impressed with how the 26-year-old has settled in North London.
“He is an amazing player,” Henry told Arsenal Player. “When he is on song like he was in the FA Cup final, he is difficult to stop.
"Mesut can see a pass and control the game in the same way that Santi (Cazorla) does."
When Ozil first signed for Arsenal from Real it was hailed as an outstanding piece of business but the German star has not always had things his own way, his form sometimes failing to match his price-tag.
But it seems his spell on the side-lines last season helped refocus him and if he continues as he left off last time round, Arsenal could be about to benefit from a player who should now be reaching his peak.
With the right summer additions, there is every chance Arsenal could add to their recent FA Cup success, and perhaps push on for a Premier League title that has eluded them for too long.
