Stjarnan post twitter message to Celtic after Champions League draw

The Icelandic side looked to give the Glasgow side a warm welcome upon news of their Champions League tie against each other.

Icelandic champions Stjarnan FC wasted no time in adopting a friendly approach with Celtic after the two clubs were drawn against each other in the the Champions League second qualifying round.

The official club account post a message on Twitter welcoming the Scottish champions to Iceland, and also included the hashtag we love Scotland.

Stjarnan went on to post a video of their fans proudly signing in the terraces, claiming "they know how to have fun."

Stjarnan have won the league in three of the last four seasons, but the tiny club come from a city called Gardabaer, which has just 14,000 people living there.

But they certainly know their way around their manners on the West Coast of the country.

Celtic can look forward to an away fixture that will boast a crowd of just 1000 people, so only the very diehard Bhoys fans are going to be able to get tickets for the long trip across the northern Atlantic Ocean.

Inter Milan beat the minnows 9-0 on aggregate in a Europa League qualifier last summer.
