The Mail appear to have jumped the gun by reporting Petr Cech has signed for Arsenal.
In an article published at 4.20pm on Monday the paper claimed a £11 million deal has been agreed for the 33-year-old goalkeeper to move from Chelsea to Arsenal.
Neither club have yet confirmed a deal, but The Mail insist a transfer will be announced this week.
Cech has also made sure to point out there is no transfer yet in place, using his Twitter account to provide an update.
The goalkeeper retweeted a message from his agents, declaring that when an agreement is struck, the news will be confirmed via his account - and not before.
Cech has played for Chelsea for a decade, winning multiple titles and trophies, but has lost his place to Belgian international Thibaut Courtois.
This was through no fault of his own, purely a long-term choice from the Blues who feared losing Courtois permanently for the next decade had they stuck with Cech.
The veteran still has the ability to play at the top level for the next five years, and Arsenal fans hope desperately he can be the reliable performer they need in goal to help them end their long wait for a league title - which spans back to before Cech signed with Chelsea.
