A select round-up of the latest transfer news relating to Liverpool.
The agent of Monaco defender Aymen Abdennour has told Foot Mercato that Liverpool are among the clubs interested in signing him.
Abdennour, 25, has established himself as one of the top defenders in France during spells with Toulouse and now Monaco, turning in a number of impressive displays for Leonardo Jardim's side.
Now though, speculation surrounds his future. The Daily Mirror reported over the weekend that newly-appointed Newcastle boss Steve McClaren had lined up the Tunisian international as the man to lead his defence next season - but it seems bigger clubs are in the reckoning.
Agent Abdelkader Jilani has told Foot Mercato that Liverpool are just one of the clubs interested in signing Abdennour this summer, with interest from other big clubs too.
"There are lots of big clubs interested Abdennour," said Jilani. "There are clubs that have approached us and who will come in contact with Monaco. There are AC Milan, Inter Milan, Barca and Liverpool. Juventus have spoken to Monaco. Other clubs, Inter Milan and AC Milan, will make an offer. I do not think Monaco will oppose a departure from Aymen," he added.
The Daily Mail claim that Liverpool have their sights on a number of targets, including Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi, Hoffenheim playmaker Roberto Firmino and Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca.
They also report that Liverpool have yet to make another bid for Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne, whilst Zenit St. Petersburg striker Jose Salomon Rondon is also a target as Rodgers looks to revamp his attacking options this summer.
