Liverpool Ball

Liverpool striker Danny Ings was a substitute for England's under-21s.

Liverpool striker Danny Ings has favourited a tweet from a bookmakers poking fun at him.

The club's new signing from Burnley is with the England under-21 squad at the European Championships, but was once again left on the bench for their match with Sweden.

While he was brought on at half-time, that did not prevent bookies Paddy Power having fun at his expense... although they may have had a surprise when Ings himself decided to 'favourite' the tweet.

Ings was on the field when Jesse Lingard struck the winner against Sweden, although made just 19 touches during his 45 minutes, and did not attempt a single shot at goal.

The striker will hope though his presence as part of a more attacking side in the second half helps earn him a starting berth for the final group game against Italy.

If he is using his doubters or 'haters' as motivation, then it may be a jolt he needs to go and prove a point.
