Harry Kane reacts on Twitter to England Under-21 win

Manchester United-owned reported Newcastle United target Jesse Lingard scored for the England Under-21s against their Sweden counterparts on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the England Under-21 side’s win against their Sweden counterparts on Sunday.

Gareth Southgate’s team defeated Sweden 1-0 in the 2015 UEFA European Under-21 Championship Group B game at the Andruv stadion in Olomouc.

Manchester United youngster Jesse Lingard, who is on the radar of Premier League rivals Newcastle United according to The Telegraph, scored the only goal of the game in the 85th minute.

The win means that England are now second in the group with three points from two matches, just a point behind leaders Portugal.

Southgate’s side started the European Championships on a losing note, going down 1-0 to Portugal at the Stadion Miroslava Valenty in Uherske Hradiste last week.

The victory has pleased Tottenham youngster Kane, who has posted the following message on Twitter:

The win against Sweden has revived England’s chances of progressing to the semi-finals of the 2015 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.

Victory over Italy in their final group game in Olomouc on Wednesday will see Southgate’s side secure a place in the last four of the prestigious competition.
