Gary Lineker reacts on Twitter to latest Petr Cech reports

Petr Cech has reportedly joined Arsenal from Premier League rivals Chelsea.

Tottenham Hotspur legend Gary Lineker has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to a report that Petr Cech has joined Arsenal.

According to The Daily Mail, the Czech Republic international has moved from Chelsea to London rivals Arsenal.

It has been reported that the Gunners will pay Chelsea a transfer fee of £11 million for the services of Cech.

Lineker has now taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the news, claiming that it is a great signing for Arsenal.

Good signing

Cech is a world-class goalkeeper, and his move to Arsenal is certainly going to enhance the quality of manager Arsene Wenger’s squad.

The former Rennes star was the second choice at Chelsea in the recently concluded 2014-15 campaign, but that was largely because of the rise of Thibaut Courtois over the past few years.

Courtois is only 23 years of age, and it made sense for the Blues to make him the first-choice in 2014-15.

Cech, though, is likely to be the number one at Arsenal next season, despite the fact that he is 33 years of age.
