Arsenal fans express frustration with Arsene Wenger after Kondogbia signs with Inter

Arsenal have missed out on Geoffrey Kondogbia to Inter Milan.

Arsenal have missed out on the signing of French midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia to Inter Milan, who confirmed the transfer on their official website on Monday.

Kondogbia was one of the most sought after players in Europe, with French website Le10Sport reporting that 10 of Europe's top clubs were chasing him.

It is a real coup therefore for Inter to snap him up, given they have no Champions League football on offer next season.

The Champions League was where Kondogbia showed his class last season, particularly in a stunning 3-1 win away to Arsenal in which he scored the opening goal and was a force defensively.

Kondogbia had also stood out against the Gunners in pre-season at The Emirates Cup, and is a player manager Arsene Wenger has confessed to being a big fan of. HITC reported comments Wenger made in a match programme last August stating the Frenchman was 'just behind Pogba' in terms of ability.

It was reported last week out of Italy, via Sky Italia and published online by Tuttomercatoweb that Arsene Wenger had made contact with the midfielder over a potential switch.

Wenger seemingly elected not to pursue the deal any further, but the issue may have been financial, with the Arsenal boss known for not wanting to pay over the odds for what he considers market value for a player.

Kondogbia signing with Inter has resultantly left plenty of Arsenal fans expressing their frustrations with the Frenchman. Here is a look at some of their reactions via Twitter...

Not all supporters are so critical of Wenger, placing their trust in the Frenchman, confident he will have alternatives lined up, or did not move for a reason...
