The Brazilian striker will complete a move to El Madrigal, with Luciano Vietto about to complete a move in the opposite direction to Atletico Madrid.
Villarreal president Fernando Roig has confirmed that his club have an agreement in place, to secure the services of Brazilian striker, Leo Baptistao, on loan for the 2015-16 season from Atletico Madrid.
Via a report by Mundo Deportivo, comments by the Villarreal supremo were offered to Spanish TV network La Sexta, as they broadcast matches from Under-12's tournament, La Liga Promises, which has been hosted by the Yellow Submarines this week.
Questioned about the transfer activity of his club, who have been making early moves in the summer market, Roig explained: "We have now made four signings."
"Areola," a goalkeeping replacement for the injured Asenjo, "the two Samu's," Castillejo and Garcia from Malaga, "and Baptistao, who will play for us on loan." Confirmed Roig.
Baptistao will have a medical at El Madrigal over the coming days, whilst the loan deal will include an option for Villarreal to make the move permanent, for a reported fee of less than €10 million.
The 22-year old Brazilian ultimately entered into the negotiations for Villarreal, as a make-weight, during the discussions that will see Argentine starlet Luciano Vietto, complete his move in the opposite direction to Atletico Madrid.
