Should Ronny Deila sign former Stromsgodset player Abdisalam Ibrahim, who wants Greek exit?

The Norwegian international is not settled at Olympiakos, according to reports.

This week it has been reported by talkSPORT that promoted sides Watford and Bournemouth are both in the hunt for Olympiakos player Abdisalam Ibrahim.

The Norwegian international was once dubbed the 'next Patrick Vieira' when he was at Manchester City but he has failed to make an impact in Greece and is all set for a summer exit.

Interestingly, the only place he has ever shown off his best talents was in Norway.

The Somali-born midfielder had an excellent season in 2012-13 at Stromsgodset. His manager at Godset, where he won the Norwegian title that season, was current Celtic boss Ronny Deila.

So should he make a move to get reacquainted with the midfielder at Celtic?

Ibrahim was a regular under Deila at Stromsgodset, playing in 28 games in their title-winning campaign whilst on loan from Manchester City.

Deila certainly got the best out of him and might just consider trying to do the same at Celtic Park.

Celtic could do with another midfielder to fill out their squad. Ibrahim is a box-to-box player who could add some steel to proceedings.

Deila would do well to give him a break in Glasgow.
