Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Iago Falque is to cap a dream season in Italian football by leaving Genoa for Roma.
Tuttomercatoweb report Falque has already undergone a medical with Roma, and an announcement expected imminently.
Falque's transfer is part of a double deal involving Andrea Bertolacci, worth a combined £11.8 million.
The Spaniard was sold by Tottenham in August for less than £2 million.
Proving a point
Falque's switch to Roma shows the strides he has made since moving to Italy, and will have a chance to play in the Champions League last season.
Tottenham did not give him the chances his talent deserved, despite his standout performances for their under-21 side and on loan.
He made only 11 appearances for the club, of which only one was in the Premier League - for just six minutes.
Work to do
Falque scored 13 goals in 33 games for Genoa last season, providing six assists, but he needs to prove it is no fluke.
Roma have invested players like Adem Ljajic and Juan Iturbe after singularly impressive Serie A seasons, but they have not yet been able to replicate their form for the Giallorossi.
