Inter Milan reportedly ready to cash in on alleged West Brom target Yuto Nagatomo

West Brom - The Hawthorns

A player linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion could be nearing the San Siro exit.

Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has given an update on the situation of alleged West Bromwich Albion target Yuto Nagatomo.

The same newspaper claimed earlier this month that the Baggies were one of the sides interested in signing the Japanese international, and now it is being reported that his current club Inter Milan are keen to recoup some of the money they are set to spend this summer by offloading the 28-year-old among others.

The report claims Inter want to cash in not only on Nagatomo but also on the likes of Mateo Kovacic, Fredy Guarin and Juan Jesus. But it is the fate of the left-back that will be of particular interest to West Brom fans.

Tony Pulis’s side need to strengthen this summer and new full-backs will surely be high on the agenda.

Nagatomo has the experience and the talent to slot effectively into West Brom’s back-line and while he does not have any Premier League experience he has racked up 115 appearances for the Italian giants and has also proved to be a threat going forward for both club and country.

Able to play on either side of defence, he could be a relatively cheap option for the Baggies, and with Inter allegedly keen to sell it may be wise to submit a bid sooner rather than later.
