Agent of Chelsea goalkeeper and Arsenal target Petr Cech responds to Inter Milan speculation

Chelsea shot-stopper Petr Cech is reportedly set to join Arsenal.

Petr Cech’s agent Viktor Kolar has dismissed rumours linking the Chelsea star with Inter Milan, telling Italian publication that there has been no contact with the Serie A giants.

The Blues shot-stopper lost his spot to Thibaut Courtois as the club’s number one goalkeeper last season, prompting plenty of speculation over his future.

According to recent reports in The Mirror, fellow Premier League side Arsenal are on the verge of a move for the Czech Republic international despite being Premier League title rivals.

The Gunners’ only competition for his signature was seemingly from wealthy French giants Paris Saint-Germain, but previous reports of interest from Inter Milan had surfaced in The Daily Mail.

However, after being contacted by, the 33-year-old’s agent has rubbished such reports by claiming the story doesn’t correspond with the reality regarding Cech’s future.

“I have heard many rumours in the last few weeks of a possible move to Inter Milan, but that doesn’t correspond with the reality with regards to Petr Cech,” Kolar explained.

“There has never been any offers from the Nerazzurri, they were just rumours and we never talked about this. Regarding Arsenal, I can’t say too much on that.”

Will Petr Cech take Arsenal to the next level?

Taking into consideration the recent reports, it would be somewhat of a shock if Chelsea’s longstanding custodian Petr Cech doesn’t end up an Arsenal player over the coming weeks.

His expected arrival is being received with much optimism, and it’s largely understandable as the Gunners have for some time lacked a consistent goalkeeper who guarantees assurances at the back.

Many observers feel a new worl- class number one was required in order to really challenge for the Premier League title and Cech certainly fits that description.
