Tom Huddlestone is expecting to stay at Hull City, according to reports.
Hull suffered relegation to the Championship on the final day of the Premier League season despite a 0-0 draw with Manchester United, and Steve Bruce must now be fearing a number of summer departures.
One player recently linked with a departure from the KC Stadium is Huddlestone, who is a target for Aston Villa according to The Mirror.
Huddlestone, 28, has featured heavily for Hull ever since joining from Spurs in the summer of 2013, and figures to be a target for Premier League clubs given his superb range of passing from holding midfield.
It's reported that Huddlestone is wanted by Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood, who was a coach at Tottenham during the midfielder's time at White Hart Lane.
That could rule Huddlestone out of a move to Villa Park, which could be a blow to Sherwood considering that he has already seen on-loan midfielder Tom Cleverley sign for Everton on a free transfer - meaning he must find a midfielder from somewhere, even if it isn't Huddlestone.
