Arsenal’s David Ospina is considering leaving the club, according to a report.

According to The Sun, Arsenal shot-stopper David Ospina is considering a proposal from Fenerbache as he refuses to play second fiddle to expected new signing Petr Cech.

The Gunners have been chasing the Chelsea custodian for much of the summer, with Thursday night reports in The Mirror claiming that a deal is imminent after Cech received first-team guarantees.

The Blues’ ace is still among the Premier League’s leading goalkeepers, with his expected arrival at the Emirates Stadium a big step in the right direction regarding the Gunners’ upcoming title challenge.

However, the Czech Republic international’s presence in North London won’t go down well with everyone connected to the club, not least the current shot-stoppers jostling for the number one shirt.

Cech will certainly be Arsene Wenger’s first-choice, and as such new reports claim Colombian ace Ospina is already considering an exit in order to retain regular first-team football.

“David Opsina is considering a £4million move to Fenerbahce as he refuses to become Petr Cech’s understudy at Arsenal. Ospina has no plans to play second fiddle and has a £1.5m-a-season contract offer on the table from Turkish outfit Fenerbahce,” The Sun state.

Ospina only joined the club last summer, dislodging former number one Wojciech Szczesny midway through the campaign and going on to play 18 Premier League matches,

His inclusion coincided with an improvement at the back and an upturn in results, yet many observers feel that he isn’t quite at a level capable of helping the club win the Premier League title.
