New West Ham signing Pedro Obiang has told the club's official website that he is looking forward to the club's Europa League campaign.
Obiang, 23, joined West Ham earlier this month, leaving Italian club Sampdoria having established himself as one of the top box-to-box midfielders in Serie A.
The Spaniard will now be a fixture of the West Ham midfield under new manager Slaven Bilic next season, especially with Alex Song's loan stay from Barcelona now over.
Obiang is expected to be the first of many summer signings for West Ham this summer, with Bilic needing to strengthen his squad ahead of the Europa League preliminary rounds this summer.
The Hammers qualified for the Europa League qualifiers through the Fair Play League, and Obiang has told the club's official website that he came to the club to achieve 'big things' - and that dream starts with the Europa League.
"I’ll be keeping a close eye on the Europa League draw on Monday," said Obiang. "As I’ve said previously, I came here to try to achieve big things with this Club and the UEFA Europa League is the first chance to do just that."
With the draw just days away, West Ham fans can look forward to seeing their club travelling around the continent to take on some big teams - and it seems that their players are also eager to make an impression in the Europa League this summer.
