West Ham and Crystal Palace-linked Demba Ba unlikely to make Premier League return

HITC Sport has been told by a representative of ex-Chelsea and Newcastle United striker Demba Ba that a return to England is 'unlikely'.

A host of Premier League clubs are battling to try and persuade Demba Ba to return to England, HITC Sport understands.

However, HITC Sport has been told by sources close to the player that he is highly unlikely to be making a return to England.

HITC can reveal that Crystal Palace, Swansea City, Southampton, West Bromwich Albion and one of his former club’s, West Ham United, are all hoping to try and lure him back to the Premier League.

Ba is currently with Turkish giants Besiktas, who he joined last summer from Chelsea, and he has showed sparkling form with 27 goals in 44 games.

But the fact he has three years left on a deal worth around £120,000-a-week means a deal to bring him back to England would be huge, and one which is not expected to materialise this summer.

Asked if Ba would be heading back to England, one of the player’s representatives told HITC Sport that it was ‘unlikely’.
