According to the Spanish publication AS, Radja Nainggolan’s agent Ludovic Spinosi concedes his client is likely to remain at Roma but hints Real Madrid could change the situation.
The Belgian international is currently one of the top midfielders in Serie A, attracting plenty of attentions and earning widespread praise for a run of wonderful performances.
The North Londoners are looking at strengthening their midfield ranks this summer, and a potential deal for Nainggolan would send out a big message of intent on their part.
However, according to the player’s agent the Premier League side face a tough task in getting him as Spinosi hints only one club can change the course of his immediate future.
“I believe Nainggolan will remain at Roma, but when you consider Real Madrid things can suddenly change. They know he is very important in the Italian capital and Roma may have numerous offers for the player, but watch out with Real Madrid,” the FIFA agent was quoted as saying.
The 27-year-old featured 35 times for Roma last season in Serie A, impressing onlookers by scoring five goals and contributing with a further two assists.
His talent is clear, and Spurs’ reported interest is somewhat interesting given the Italian outfit are genuine title challengers and Champions League participants whereas the North Londoners aren’t.
Some could say Mauricio Pochettino is being too ambitious in supposedly pinpointing Nainggolan as a potential target, but in doing so it gives a clear indication of the ambitions at White Hart Lane.
