Stoke City offer Grammy-nominated American rapper Busta Rhymes a 2015-16 kit on Twitter

The emcee is said to be a Stoke City fan.

Back in 2010 a photo emerged online of famous US rapper Busta Rhymes in a rather surprising choice of attire. He was wearing a vintage Stoke City shirt, much to Potters fans delight.

Even Peter Crouch commented on it a few years down the line.

Today it has rocked up again on Twitter, with the club themselves getting involved in the banter,

Stoke City sent this post from their official Twitter account earlier today, suggesting they might send one of their brand new New Balance shirts for the upcoming campaign in the direction of the Brooklyn-born emcee.

Rhymes, real name Trevor Tahiem Smith Jr, certainly did not look happy in the picture but we imagine that is simply his game face. Why was he wearing the Stoke shirt? Who knows, but it is a great picture.

Of course Norwich City recently got this treatment. Snoop Dogg continued his tradition of wearing the football shirts of the team most local to his UK performance at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend earlier in the summer. Snoop wore a Southend United shirt in a gig in Essex the night before, but don't tell Canaries fans that.

Hopefully we can get to see Busta in the newer Stoke kit in the not so distant future.
