The Genoa winger has been in scintillating form since completing a move back to Italy.
Daniel Levy and Franco Baldini must be wondering if they made a big mistake last summer when they sold Iago Falque to Genoa.
The Tottenham supremos sold the Spanish forward Falque after a rather disappointing spell in North London where he made just one appearance.
The former Barcelona graduate had taken in a series of loan spells, and begun to slowly impress in Spain while at Almeria and Rayo Vallecano, before Mauricio Pochettino took over last summer.
There was a hope that the arrival of the Argentinian could see Falque given a final chance to show what he could do at White Hart Lane, but the 25-year-old was sold to Genoa before the season began for a paltry £1.4 million according to Transfermarkt.
But in his debut campaign with the Red-Blues, Falque was a vital member of a side that surprised everyone by finishing in 6th spot in the league. The winger scored a superb 13 goals in 32 league matches, which certainly made Spurs look like they missed a trick with the player.
