Winks said: “I think I’ve had a good season on a personal level and I’m happy with what I’ve achieved. It’s been a long, hard season but they’re always the best ones and the most rewarding. [My highlight was] Definitely my first team debut. It was a great moment – the best moment of my life.”
Winks, a central midfielder, made his debut against FK Partizan in the Europa League, coming on for the final three minutes of a 1-0 victory at White Hart Lane. He spent the majority of the campaign at Under-21 level - despite being just 19 - scoring two goals and building an impressive reputation.
He captained the Under-21 side on occasion, earning a place on the substitutes bench on the final day of the Premier League season, before making his first senior start for the club in their post season tour of Malaysia.
Winks has impressed whenever appearing, and big things are expected of the English youth international, with the 2014/15 season a strong base to build upon, many will be hoping to see him feature more at first-team level next term.
