Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor has taken to social networking site Twitter to suggest that he will remain at the club next season.
The Togo international has been the subjection of intense speculation over the past few weeks, having struggled for playing time throughout the recently concluded 2014-15 campaign.
According to a recent report in The Mirror, Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino wants to sell Adebayor in the summer transfer window.
However, the player himself seems determined to remain at White Hart Lane for the 2015-16 campaign.
Following his first goal in seven months in Togo's 2-1 win over Liberia, Adebayor took to Twitter to post the following messages:
Feeling really fresh after my goal. Can't wait to come back to Tottenham and show everyone the passion I have for the club... ctd/— Emmanuel Adebayor (@E_Adebayor) June 19, 2015
Adebayor’s tweets come just days after he made it clear - also on Twitter - that he is committed to Tottenham.
For the record I have seen some articles regarding a transfer to teams in Turkey. I can confirm I have never heard of Mehdi Isik who has./.— Emmanuel Adebayor (@E_Adebayor) June 5, 2015
