Celtic assistant manager John Collins has been quoted as saying by the club’s official Twitter page that Liam Henderson will be part of the first team next season.
Henderson has returned from his loan spell at Norwegian club Rosenborg, whom he joined in March 2015.
The Scotland Under-19 international did relatively well in Norway, and Collins has said that the youngster will be part of the Celtic first team for the 2015-16 season.
JC on Liam Henderson: He'll come back like the rest of the guys and look to get back into the team.— Celtic Football Club (@celticfc) June 19, 2015
Henderson is one of the best young players at Celtic, but he will certainly struggle to get into the Bhoys’ first team next season.
The 19-year-old central midfielder will face competition, and his lack of experience will also be a deterrent.
However, during pre-season Celtic manager Ronny Deila will get a chance to judge the youngster and see whether he is prepared to fight for a place in the first team.
The best move for both Celtic and Henderson would be to let the teenager leave on another loan spell, this time to a club in the Scottish Premiership.
