Santi Cazorla reveals two things that Arsenal need to improve next season

The Gunners star is looking for the club to be even better in the coming campaign.

Santi Cazorla has told the Arsenal website that the players have two things they need to work on next season if they are to improve on this season's achievements.

Arsenal ended up with an impressive 2014-15 season to look back on, having won their second successive FA Cup and also finishing in third place in the league, one position higher than they have managed in recent years.

But the Spain international feels the club can be even better, identifying a couple of factors ahead of the new season.

“One of the things the team has to focus on more is mental toughness and consistency," he told the club website. "There have been games that we have not won that we should have, so we have to be more consistent to get to the next level.”

Cazorla will likely feel that if the Gunners had employed their 2015 form consistently over the entire season, they would have been right up there with Chelsea at the top of the Premier League. Likewise, being mentally strong enough to make the breakthrough in games such as the home loss to Swansea is something that Arsene Wenger and his side can continue to work on.

Speaking at the unveiling of the club's new strip, the classy midfielder also revealed the reason why he is so capable with either foot, putting it down to an ankle injury he suffered in his youth.

“I have always preferred the right foot, ever since I was younger,” the Spaniard said. ”I was a little bit hurt in my right ankle once, and that is when I started to use my left foot a lot more."

But Cazorla has made certain that he continues to train hard in order to maintain his level, adding that: “Being able to use both feet is something that came quite naturally to me ever since I started playing. However, it is something I continuously work on in a very strong manner to ensure that my level never gets any lower."
