Anderlecht's impressive young midfielder is reportedly much sought after by some of Europe's top clubs.
The midfielder is the youngest ever Belgian to feature in the Champions League, making his debut for Anderlecht at the age of 16 years and 148 days.
Now 18, Tielemans has just completed his second full season as a professional, and impressed by making 51 appearances and scoring 8 goals.
The Belgian Under-21 star only just signed a new five-year contract at Anderlecht, but AS are still linking the wonderkid to the two London clubs, as well as Atletico Madrid, claiming a price of £14.3 million should be enough to secure him.
But do Arsenal or Chelsea need the Belgian?
The Gunners are particularly strong in central midfield right now, with several outstanding players vying for the limited positions available. It has meant that more than one of their midfield, many of which are 25 or under, are playing out of position.
On top of that, they also have their own talented central midfielders coming through their academy, with Gedion Zelalem and Dan Crowley of a similar age to Tielemans.
Chelsea have a different problem, that of trying to keep their homegrown numbers up. They can ill afford to sign another prodigiously talented European youngster because for the Blues, the onus is likely to be on either bringing players into their first team squad via their academy, or buying the best young British talent available.
Of course, both sides may decide to recruit Tielemans purely because he is looking like he will become the next great Belgian talent, but the Anderlecht youngster still has a couple of steps to make before he gets to that level.
