The talented French forward is expected to be presented by Sevilla before the weekend.
Due to celebrate his 24th birthday this coming Sunday, the Frenchman has finally secured himself a permanent move away from Stamford Bridge, following a series of loans at Bolton Wanderers, Dijon, Vitesse Arnhem, Lazio and finally, Rayo Vallecano.
It's precisely his form during the 2014-15 season with Rayo, which convinced Sevilla to make their move for Kakuta, having scored five goals and provided seven assists, over 35 appearances in La Liga.
However, interest in Kakuta is said to have spanned several years, with Sevilla finally now getting the opportunity to secure his services.
During what is looking likely to be a busy summer of activity at the Andaluz club, following the arrival of Danish midfielder Krohn-Dehli on a free transfer from Celta Vigo, the capture of Kakuta from Chelsea is Sevilla's second confirmed signing.
