With Chelsea winger Gael Kakuta becoming the second signing of the summer by the Spanish club, all focus has now turned to the 25-year-old Ukraine star, according to local media outlet Estadio Deportivo.
Their report explains that officials from Sevilla met with Dnipro owner Igor Kolomoisky on Wednesday night, at his home in Geneva, Switzerland.
The main point of discussions is highlighted as being a sell-on percentage which Dnipro reserve, believed to be between twenty and forty percent. Even though the player is set to leave on a free transfer, he remains strongly tied to the Ukraine club.
Whilst this is seen as a considerable obstacle, Sevilla apparently remain confident Konoplyanka will reach an agreement with them over personal terms, with a contract of around four years on the table.
One rival is already out of the race, following reports from AS, that the president of Turkish outfit Besiktas, confirmed to broadcaster TRT: "We met the player three times, and three times he told us no. We're now looking at other players."
The biggest opposition Sevilla now face, is from the host of Premier League clubs who remain interested in signing Konoplyanka.
Stoke City and Tottenham Hotspur remain linked, whilst Liverpool are expected to rekindle their interest, suggests The Echo, with the player having been very close to an Anfield move in the January transfer window.
