Tony Pulis is a big fan of the former Chelsea and Newcastle United striker.
The future of Demba Ba has become a hot topic in recent days. A proven Premier League goalscorer is always going to be a high value commodity and it has been reported recently that West Ham wanted to bring him back to Upton Park.
Ba, who scored seven goals in 13 games at West Ham in 2011, played under new West Ham boss Slaven Bilic at Besiktas last season - after joining the club from Chelsea.
A reunion has been highly mooted.
But Tony Pulis has other ideas, according to The Times.
They report that West Bromwich Albion boss Pulis wants to bring in Ba, to add some goals to his side next season.
He is of course no stranger to Ba's abilities. He tried signing him for Stoke City but was advised not to do s by the medical staff at the club just prior to his move to West Ham.
Since then however Ba has rarely struggled with serious injuries and Pulis would be willing to forget that previous assessment from his time at the Britannia.
Instead, he wants to beat West Ham to the signature of a striker who guarantees goals in the Premier League.
