Celtic have reportedly made a move to sign Belgian striker Jelle Vossen, report The Sun.
Vossen plays for Genk but spent last season on loan at English Championship side Middlesbrough, where he netted seven goals last season.
The Teesiders remain interested in signing him permanently report The Sun, claiming they are in a £2 million battle with Celtic for his signature.
Would Vossen be a good addition for Celtic?
Jelle Vossen is 26-years-old and has 11 caps for Belgium, scoring twice. He last appeared for his country in 2013.
He netted eight times last season, with 23 of his 36 games played from the starting line-up.
He has a more impressive record at Genk, scoring 105 goals in 246 games for the club.
This helped lead to winning four trophies with the side, and it could be argued he stands a better chance of winning silverware with the Scottish champions than moving to a club in England's second tier.
Celtic are looking for a replacement for John Guidetti who will not be signing after his loan spell last season.
