Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez showed his support for Arturo Vidal via his Twitter page, after a tough 24 hours for his teammate.
The Juventus midfielder was arrested after crashing his Ferrari late at night, in the midst of the Copa America tournament which is taking place in his native Chile.
Sanchez is an international teammate of Vidal, and the pair share the same agent.
He sent a separate message, writing that he has his 'full support', and is just relieved his teammate and friend is in full health.
Negro te banco y te doy todo mi apoyo como siempre. Lo mas importante es que tu y tu familia y las otras personas están bien . Te quiero— Alexis Sánchez (@Alexis_Sanchez) June 17, 2015
The midfielder was arrested over the incident, but later released, as reported by The BBC.
He later gave an emotional press conference, expressing his sorrow over the incident, which was headline news in Chile, and reported around the world.
Vidal is expected to be fine to continue his participation in the Copa America, and has been the team's star player over his country's opening two games.
He has scored three times, in a win over Ecuador and draw with Mexico (2), as Chile attempt to win the tournament for the first time in history.
