Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Manchester City's £40m bid for Raheem Sterling

The England international wants out of Anfield this summer.

Liverpool have received yet another bid for want-away forward Raheem Sterling. Manchester City are said to have made another approach for the player, after their bid last Thursday was rejected.

Sky Sports first reported the news and now the BBC is also claiming that Sterling has been the subject of a new bid. They claim City have bid £35.5 million for the player, rising to £40 million, who is seemingly desperate on a departure from Liverpool.

Sterling arrived at Liverpool as a teenager in 2010 after impressing in the youth system at Queens Park Rangers. He made his first-team breakthrough in 2012 and was an integral part of the team that almost won the Premier League title in 2013-14.

Last season was less than prolific for the talented 20-year-old. He has also seen the likes of Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard depart.

Liverpool fans are undoubtedly huge fans of Sterling's talents, but the way he and his agent have conducted themselves in recent times has left a sour taste in the mouth and right now most would happily see him leave the club for the right price.

Is £35.5 million enough?
