Fan claims Allardyce ‘destroyed’ many players; former West Ham defender agrees

Allardyce deflated

Slaven Bilic has succeeded Sam Allardyce as the West Ham United manager.

Julian Dicks has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Sam Allardyce was not good for the West Ham United players.

The former West Ham defender agreed with a Hammers fan when he claimed that Allardyce "destroyed" many players.

It is quite bold to claim that Allardyce "destroyed" many West Ham players, and it is even more interesting that Dicks actually agrees with the fan.

Perhaps both Dicks and the West Ham supporter feel that the former Bolton Wanderers and Newcastle United manager prevented some of the players from playing their natural game.

While that might be true given the direct nature of football preferred by the Englishman, it is a hyperbole to claim that he “destroyed” the players.

However, that is all in the past now. Allardyce has gone, Slaven Bilic has come in and a new era at West Ham has begun.

Perhaps under Bilic, West Ham will play entertaining football and also compete for a European spot in the 2015-16 campaign.
