The Germany star has long been on Arsenal's radar, and is said to be keen to leave Schalke this summer.
The 21-year-old has in all honesty failed to cash in on the huge potential he has available to him, struggling to gatecrash the Germany starting eleven and missing a whole section of the last season due to injury.
Draxler's best campaign remains his 2012-13 breakout season, when he scored 12 goals and announced himself as a really special player.
But with Schalke set to miss out on Champions League football next season after finishing in 6th position in the Bundesliga, the attacking midfielder has, according to Sky Sports Germany, told the club that he is considering a new beginning elsewhere.
This has alerted long-term admirers Arsenal, who are the favourites to land the star, as well as Manchester City, who seemingly have a wad of money they're saving for one young winger or another.
Sky say Draxler has a €45 million release clause in his contract, and considering the number of Germans already at Arsenal, its no surprise to see the Schalke star linked to the Emirates once more.
If Draxler finds out there is any firm interest in him from Arsene Wenger, it may lead to him pushing for a move to join up with Mesut Ozil and Per Mertesacker in North London.
