Last night's episode of Raw was built on a gloating Seth Rollins claiming all the credit for his WWE World Heavyweight Championship run after his latest defence against Dean Ambrose at Money in the Bank.
Seth claimed he didn't need the help of Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble, his security team, Kane or even Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. When this was brought up by Stephanie, Seth quickly tried to backtrack but Triple H told him that he would have his next opponent announced by the end of the night.
Rollins would spend the rest of the night trying to work out who he would be defending his title against, even offering to bring J&J Security back into the fold if they could shed light on the situation. They, of course, declined.
When the moment came, fans were not to be disappointed.
Brock Lesnar's music hit to a huge pop from the Cleveland crowd as he and Paul Heyman marched towards the ring with as much purpose as ever. Heyman then shook hands with Triple H, suggesting that some sort of deal has been struck between both parties as in the storyline, Stephanie had suspended Brock for going on a rampage the night after Wrestlemania and attacking any WWE employee in sight.
Rollin's smirk was wiped off his face and quickly turned to fear as he exited the ring and sheepishly avoided any contact with Brock, again showing his ability to play the sleazy champion to perfection.
Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship is official for WWE Battleground in what should be a tremendous match and something fresh for the WWE audience.
