Title change at Money in the Bank

WWE Network

The Prime Time Players win the WWE Tag Team Championships for the first time.

Darren Young and Titus O'Neil, aka the Prime Time Players won their first WWE Tag Team Championships last night at Money in the Bank after beating Big E and Xavier Woods of The New Day.

After a back and forth match, Titus O'Neil nailed the Clash of Titus on Woods for the win which was quite a shock considering just how good The New Day have been on WWE TV recently. In what was a bad night for the team, Kofi Kingston also came up short in the Money in the Bank ladder match, which was won by Sheamus.

Despite that, you cannot help but feel happy for the Prime Time Players who have had years of hard work and dedication finally pay off and they celebrated their triumph with the fans as seen in this tweet below:

Young and O'Neil will now be more heavily featured on WWE TV and it is their personality which really helps them stand out so they really have an opportunity now to get over with the audience.

As for The New Day, it is quite an odd decision to take the titles off a team so hot and bring so prominently featured in all different storylines on the show but they will no doubt be back on top soon. The team have created magic, making what appeared to be a dead in the water gimmick really work and it would be criminal to break them up already.

With the news that Tyson Kidd will possibly be out for a year meaning him and Cesaro will no long be in the title picture, WWE are keen to create another credible tag team and you just can't help but be happy for The Prime Time Players.
